TS: "You have a poet's silver tongue," Guinevere jibed, uneasy with the sudden turn in the conversation. To think he knew her name was rather concerning, as she had done her best to keep to herself.

She paused, turning her head to glance back down at the heard.

"So you know my name." She breathed, before turning back to him.
"Perhaps you think you know something about me then?"

She dropped her head, as if playing with the idea before raising it again to meet his cold gaze.
"It would be foolish, Shadow, to believe my name will give you any real insight into who I am."

Rambriel drew in a breath.
"I know you have trust issues, or maybe it's anxiety. I know you have a great dislike to fire, for whatever reason. I know you posess great knowledge of the flora and you have probably used them to your advantage at one time. I know you are cunning." he blinked, then turned to look her in the eye. "As I said. Shadows watch and learn."
Rambriel was known to know many, many things about herd members just by looking. He could pick out the finest details of a heart and soul in a few blinks.
He was a master of deduction.

Gwen couldn't have hidden her shock even if she had tried. Her stomach dropped and her insides writhed. She had been stripped of everything. Every possible disguise, every possible means escape, of invisibility, vanished from her in a single breathe. She flattened her ears instinctively, snaking her neck and baring her teeth like a wounded animal.

She opened her mouth to speak but was at a loss for words. He had taken everything.

She inhaled sharply, attempting to regain a semblance of composure. But what did it truly matter? He was bound to see through it anyways.
Narrowing her eyes, she looked up at him under her thick lashes.
He was far more than just a shadow. No light could make him vanish. Nor, she thought, bile rising in her throat for another brief, panicked moment, could aconite.

Suddenly his giant presence felt overwhelming, and she fought with the very fibers of her being to not shrink away.
Never before had she encountered such a dangerous marriage of brawn and intellect.

She lifted her head, mustering the courage to meet his haughty gaze. He had every right to be proud, but as she locked eyes with him once more, an insidious anger bubbled up inside of her.

"Pray tell then, why am I here?" She leered caustically.

A sly, sly grin came across his face, then was gone in a flash.
He felt her anger.
When she asked the final question, he moved closer, his joints cracking from having stood still for too long. He head snaked a little closer.
"You came here because you, like the rest of us, are suffering loss. You, like the rest of us, are a murderer, Fair One." His brow was knotted as it usually was now.

"We are all shadows here." he said, straightening himself.
He took a deep breath of air, letting it out slowly.
He looked down on her once more.
"Now, do you have any more questions?"

He didn't just mean fleshly murderers. He meant murderers of the mind, body, soul, emotion and every aspect of life.
