Probably because they don't grow that big in the bog and maybe also because of the "gloomy" mood caused by black and white tones and mist.

I like this one. More than the tree standing out, I feel it is more 'abandoned', the others leaving it there while they quietly dissipate into the background. I think abandoned as its boughs at the bottom look heavy and sad. But I'm wierd, beautiful photo.

This makes me feel so sad... so lost... The trees lost in the mist are so forelorn... As if it's time to say farewell and wonder "Will I see you again?" This photo really grabs my attention because of the mood set by the mist... I love the solitude of the foreground and the mystery beyond the mist... The composition is so interesting because the tree in the foreground and it's contrast really draws my eyes to the trees in the background... to the mysterious mist and then back to the foreground again... Because of the mood I would say that the Exposure on this one is perfect... Really helps set the mood and maintain the mood... Incredible photo!

You're welcome... I don't always have time too do so, but when I do have the time I like to get it out there... I tell my kids, "Wow look at this one" and start telling them what I like about it and they're like... "Uh... ok, Mom... it's nice." and then they walk away. Hard to tell them what I think... so I figured who better to hear what I have to say than the person who took it... lol...

It's really nice to receive such comments. I admit I don't write such informative comments and I'm not the best person to write comments to someone's work but by writing more comments you learn how to write better ones
