Look, I respect your opinion. But as the movie itself said "People make BAD choices if they're mad, or scared, or stressed" And, indeed! Hans make a really bad choice in attempting to kill Elsa. But he's not really bad, he's more like misunderstood. I mean, poor thing! He was ignored, mistreated, and rejected by his own brothers, his WHOLE DAMN LIFE!! The pain of his past it the reason of everything he did :I I ship Elsa and Hans, would you like to know why? Because both of them had a rough past, and if you noticed also, they both used gloves to keep a secret... Also! Before the movie was released, Hans was rumored to be Elsa's love interest; in the movie itself he DID want to marry her and make her his consort, but he saw that she was far too collected to become his queen and so decided to go after Anna instead, if you payed attention to the movie, probably you noticed the way Hans looks at Anna when she's not looking... but with Elsa is totally different; in the dungeon, for example! There is also an AU in which Hans has fire powers, and it totally makes sense, he is redhead/ginger and he uses gloves the whole time! The hot and cold are both so intense, put them together it just makes sense!

Personally, i wouldn't care. I don't care how 'bad' your past is. You try to kill me, or mess with my sister, you're done.
He wasn't abused by his brothers, ignored a little maybe, but there were loads of them, he wasn't going to be the only one that felt that way. He was just greedy and wanted the throne, but he wasn't going to get it in his family line, so he went after someone else's.
He didn't want to marry Elsa because he had feelings for her, he wanted her because she was a faster way for him to get the power he craved, he viewed Anna as naive and far easier to manipulate.
He wasn't 'mad or scared or stressed' he PLANNED it, it wasn't a reaction like it was when Elsa struck out when she was scared or stressed. It also wasn't really justifiable anger because he wasn't taking revenge on the girls for something they'd done to him, he just saw them as an easy target.
Put it like this, a boy you don't really know pushes you down a staircase, you could have been killed, but luckily you weren't, you ask him why he did it and he was replied with 'oh i'm sorry i was just having a really bad day' would you forgive him ? Probably not. Attempted murder is a relationship ender

You make a very good argument... Personally, I am a Helsa shipper! It's just a guilty pleasure of mine Sure, Hans is wicked, conniving and spiteful, but despite knowing all of this, I still ship them! I think it's just because, like kioewen  said, people like to see Hans as he could have been, as opposed to the evil one portrayed in the film. Who knows! I guess you can't really control what kind of ships you support

I guess, but to me it's like shipping Belle and Gaston or Dr. Falicier and Tiana :S
Also i am very much on bored with the 'Elsa don't need no man' *does the stereotypical sassy black woman finger clicks*
I mean, it's not that i have a problem with non cannon ships or even the "bad boy" pairing *cough* zutara *cough*
but i think Elsa may forgive what he did to her, but i can't look past that, in my opinion, Elsa would never forgive him for what he did to Anna.
Oh well Shippers gonna ship i suppose

The thing is, Hans doesn't get much development, we only know that he has 12 older brothers.
He could have been mistreated, ignored, treated perfectly fine, his mother could of loved him, or everyone could have seen him as the runt, with all this mystery that's where the shippers come in to his rescue!

They want to find good in him like how the writers of Frozen found good in Elsa,
while some people accept how he was presented and give him and Elsa a wicked, manipulative relationship.
It depends, but I ship Helsa because OMG HOW CAN YOU NOT CX
Anywho, forgiving Hans seems like something Elsa could do c:

Ok, first of all, this is going to sound very rantish, please don't be upset by it, it's not personal. All the anger here is just at Hans' character and not towards you. You're allowed to ship whatever you want .

I've said before I don't give two monkey butts HOW he was treated. Put yourself in Elsa's shoe's, you have done nothing to this guy, then he manipulates your sister so he can get your throne, then he's hunky dorey with leaving your little sister to DIE, then he tries to kill you ! Why ? because he's a power hungry a-hole.
He may have been neglected by his parent, yes, and that is very sad. But he's well dressed, well groomed, and well spoken so someone looked after him and brought him up nicely. Either way, it's not an excuse to murder people !
Elsa MAY forgive Hans for what he did to her, but i really can't see her forgiving him for what he did or could have done to Anna !
Elsa was never bad and never purposefully hurt people, that's the difference. In her heart she was a kind, good person. She was scared of her power and came of as cold, but never mean spirited. She old was willing to hurt the guards wen they were trying to kill her, she was trying to defend herself (even though she almost went a little overboard).
I think, in all honesty it's as crazy as shipping BellaxGaston, TianaxDr.Falicier, NalaxScar or JasminexJafar. I know this is jus my personal thing, but I really hate the 'fix the bad guy' relationships, maybe I'm a little jaded but from what I've seen, if a guy acts like a douche and talks like a douche, chances are, all he is, is a douche.
URGH ! rant over ! Sorry, i just really dislike this paring *huff*

Because some of us reject the contrived "bad guy" portrayal of Hans that the film tried to cram down our throats and prefer to see Hans as he could (and should) have been: a noble character.

It just felt like a slap in the face. I was like, "Aww... you're so nice, Hans. You should be Elsa's boyfriend." That's literaly what I was thinking when I first watched the movie. Then, boom, he's evil, and I'm just like, "I OUGHTA SLUG YOU!!!"
