Description Edit 3 || Finally finished! Rp section is below

Edit 2 || I'm going to diiieeeeeee *sobs*

Edit1 || Sleep continues to elude me so, here's an update of it so far.

See! I told you I would work on one! It's just taking me awhile. I'm a very messy sketcher But not as messy as kel

Don't expect it to be fantabulous. I suck at tree's and water and all living things. And rocks. SO! We'll see how this turns out.

"Precisely," she meowed, padding with him so a part of her fur was pressed against his for guidance's sake. She knew her way around the camp, of course, but it never hurt to have someone steering her out of the way of a stray thorn. "Thank you, Kindlestep," she meowed, smiling warmly at the continuous kindness and attentiveness that he showed towards her. A gentle ocean breeze buffeted at their fur, but despite the season, did not bring much of a chill. Perhaps we'll have an earlier thaw this season, Sleetgaze thought as they padded along on the cool earth. It felt good to stretch her legs, and she could already feel the herbs starting to ease the pain into a dull ache that no longer bothered her too much. "Do you venture this way often?" she asked after a few moments of silence between the two. "I visited the AspenClan border a few times as an apprentice, when I had sight in my eyes. I wonder how it has changed..." The last comment was wistful, almost half to herself.

" You should know by now that I always enjoy your company and there is no need to thank me. I should be thanking you! With no apprentice I don't have anyone to even talk to herbs about. " He chuckled as he led her up the small slope, the dry grass tickling their legs as they padded across the tree speckled plains of Tidalclan. He looked over to her for a moment as she started speaking after a brief silence before placing his gaze back on their surroundings. He was responsible for her out here, and he would have to do his best to protect her. " I do in the winter, usually I can find most the roots I need by the odd ball tree here and there her in the plains but during winter the forest by the border protects them better and with the many roots traveling below the ground the dirt is easier to dig up then in the plains. Sorry, I didn't mean to bore you!" He laughed sheepishly as the wind started to die down as they approached the edge of the forest on their side of the border. His content smile slowly faded as she mentioned the border when she was still an apprentice with her sight still and her pained curiosity on how it looked now. Kindlestep looked to the ground, leading her around trees and the stray dead bush, when an idea hit him and he purred. " Alright come over here. " he encouraged, leading her to a small clearing just infront of the border and sat down facing a tree, a small gurgling could be heard from the nearby river " alright go ahead and sit next to me, and I know you can't see so you may not see the point of this but for my sake just close your eyes. " He spoke softly, pressing his flank to her encouragingly. " Alright, now, we are two foxlengths away from the largest river closest to aspenclan. Aspenclan is to the right infront of us two hops and Raggedclan clan to the left infront of us. Now picture the territory as it looked when you were an apprentice, but imagine it's spring and everything is full of life. " he whispered, giving her a few heartbeats to create the world as it used to look to her as an apprentice. Shifting his feet a little he tore his gaze from her and starting looking around " Now the tree's have grown in height an length, branches and leaves tickle the clouds above, vines with yellow and pink flowers crawl up the trunk of the older trees and saplings litter the forest floor. Flowers and mushrooms and lush green grass flood this clearing and a small young bush can be found here and there seeking shelter by the trees. Birds of many colors chirp and play above and the sun dapples our pelts and gives us licks of warmth through the leaves. The Lush grass is soft and welcoming below your paws and bee's buzz softly nearby. You look over to the river and is a bright, healthy crystal blue with dragonflies dancing across the surfaces, you can see the shadows of small fish below the water as they swim around each other in their own playful game. Butterflies dance around you welcoming you and you look ahead of you, a tree that used to be the smallest now towers before you, getting past it's own weakness's. . . feel.. " He whispered, excitement as he could imagine the area at it's best in spring, describing everything it was as best as possible before gently raising one of her paws and placing it on the tree before them and gently moved her paw over the bark so she could feel how much it's grown.

"Well, you're always welcome to take me out for walks," she meowed. "Your company is truly a gift, Kindlestep." As the scent of AspenClan grew stronger in her nostrils, Sleetgaze sighed as the gurgle of the stream brought back hazy pictures; the last she had seen of this border was so long ago, and it was like trying to see something through a thick layer of smoke. "Alright go ahead and sit next to me, and I know you can't see so you may not see the point of this but for my sake just close your eyes," Kindlestep told her, and she obeyed, shutting her eyelids so that she no longer felt the sensation of what used to bring her sight. It was almost... well, relaxing, as if she could pretend she wasn't blind - that the blackness around her was of her choosing.
It seemed as if Kindlestep was waving away the smog from her early memories of this place as he described their location. She could remember this precise area, so beautiful in its blooming state. Even the chill of leaf-bare around her seemed to melt away as the medicine cat continued to weave a beautiful picture, one of a world where colors exploded into life around her, birds and animals and grass and trees shattered the black walls and came trumpeting into full sight, blindness forgotten, death forgotten, everything remembered.... As he gently lifted her paw to touch the weathered bark, Sleetgaze let out a shuddering sigh - if she would have had the ability, she might have cried a joyful tear. For a while, she held her shaking paw upon the rough bark of the tree, eyes still closed and remaining thoughtfully silent. "This tree has grown old, just as I have," she meowed finally. She turned to Kindlestep, opening her eyes, and touched her nose to his shoulder in respect. "Thank you," she murmured, head dipped as she withdrew her touch. "You have shown me how to see again."

He purred softly as she put together the world he described and sat there quietly, letting her relish in it. He could never say he knew how she felt, he didn't and he would never try to put himself in her pelt but try to help her any way he could, give her what little peace and happiness he could provide. He had dipped his head respectfully, keeping watch on their surroundings while she relished in memories, his attention only returning to the gentle elder when he heard her sigh, what feelings it held he would never know. The silence continued until she spoke up and he looked back at her and sat silently as she spoke gently, pressing her nose to his shoulder and he rubbed his cheek against hers in return " I only provided you with the tools needed to see what you've already discovered, memories aren't there just to aimlessly recall, they are there to show you that you never truly forget how to see, no matter how long it's been Sleetgaze. Whenever you feel your world is nothing but blackness all you need is to come to me and I'll paint whatever part of the territory you wish to see a thousand times if need be. . . " he murmured, his voice strained with the love a son would show for his mother. He cleared his throat and looked around, gently touching his side to hers to let her know he had stood up " Alright, now how about those herbs and bedding? " He purred encouragingly, the smell of some comfrey beneath the snow somewhere and padded out of the clearing and around some rocks before carefully digging around the rocks " I can smell some comfrey here, could you help me? "

hey, i have been wondering, how do you do the shading? (As in the shadows)

;<; its my biggest weak point. Either it is too solid or too spread out. I decided to ask cause I see you do a good job at it

But on characters I never use black as shading, usually a darker form of the prime color in the pic, then multiply setting and dim it as needed :3

I only darken the colors a circle at a time and I usually do up to three shades, each darker than the last. :3 Then for grass I blurr until it blends just enough so that it's obviously shading but not too much that it loses the color depth.

ok, makes sense. I guess I rush it cause i scribble over parts to be shaded in black on a new layer than erase out what i dont need. Then lower opacity. and only one shade XD thanks! that will help alot
