Fanart of Susannah "Suze" Simon and Hector "Jesse" de Silva from Meg Cabot's series The Mediator.

It's pretty good, for a chick-lit series. It's a fun, light read with some supernatural asskickery thrown in. I've read them all except for the sixth book. But yeah, Suze is a mediator and can see and touch ghosts, and Jesse is a ghost that died in her house in the 1800's and hangs out in her room.

THIS IS ME TRYING TO DRAW ALL AMERICAN-LIKE ARARARA and I'm pretty pleased with how it came out, it's a lot more successful than my previous attempts at drawing in an Americany style. I like how Suze's face came out, her lips, too. They didn't come out looking totally weird.

I was continuing on with the coloring technique I used in my last picture, I really like how it looks in Suze's hair.

The background annoys me a little, please ignore my ocean wave. Yes, that's what that lumpy blue blob is supposed to be: a wave. Argh.

But yeah, besides the wave, I think Jesse's actually supposed to have curly hair, but whatever.
