That Lavos sound effect that starts the music in the link is one of the most memorable ever used in a video game. Chrono Trigger’s final form for the big bad was so weird and unexpected.

There’s something fundamentally alien and unsettling about it and how Lavos’ motivations are never voiced, purely speculated on. Makes the 3 form designs that much more memorable to me.
