I love them all!!! It's fun seeing the flower hummingbird at the top, hadn't expected one of my sketches!
I named him Thiseed? meh it's not terrible, it's not a great name, but it's alright. I'm surprised I did so well on a name.
I really enjoy my parachute guy too, but I feel like I need to develop him more, he's just sort of blah and it's a confusing anatomy. Like yeah does the orb glow or not? Is it hollow like an umbrella or not? are the arms ropey or like firm, do they detach from the orb or not. I just need to develop it further, and never did with him. I often forget about him even though he is one of my classics, I've had him for AGES
I know why you like the sea pottery vase one...you know why. Perv. hahahaha
These are all great!
Baby mobile is the best in my opinion, I think because there is a lot of depth with the shading on the ruffle, but just the lines look better as well, it's done REALLY well. The coral rock is pretty dang good too, again maybe because of the intricate shading? haha Idk the more I look at it the more I think all of them are just so good lol You really are getting good!
I'm really bad at criticism but I think what little that draws back your art is your lines. In my opinion they seem...flat? It's hard to explain, but it's almost like all the lines are in 2d and then the coloring is 3d, so then unfortunately the lines draw back from making it all look 3d. Maybe a lot of that has to do with my poses, most of these are pretty flat and static, so it's hard to give them life, but like the baby mobile, that has a very fluid pose, so maybe that's why it's my favorite of your artworks here. But also one thing I tell many digital artists is the smoothness of lines. Everyone likes different things, but IF you're going for sugi style his lines are relatively sketchy and scratchy, yours are very smooth, they're all the same thickness and smoothness, I don't think sugi does that with his lines, they are scratchy, but also they get thinner and thicker based off the shape of things. So maybe that could help give your art more depth? Idk again I'm not very good at criticism because I can SEE the problem, but I don't know how to fix it hahaha
I could also see shading being too gradual. Again, just depends on your style, I base my knowledge of sugi style, so his shading is quote drastic really, and in many ways yours are too, baby mobile's face, the wisteria's shading, etc. But then like the underside of the parachute or under the thistle's heads? Very subtle shading, it's gradual gradation of coloring, so it seems a bit more realistic, BUT more flat appearing.
I was looking at the sea vase, I'm not sure how others or sugi would have done it, but like the bottom of the belly, it's rounded like an orb, so technically the middle of the sphere is darker than the top, which you did, but then the BOTTOM of it should be even darker, right? It's even more in the shadows, it doesn't have the reflected light on it that the middle does. I believe that's how shading works (you know my sweet shading knowledge lol) But shading isn't always realistic in pokemon, so I'm not sure how it SHOULD be done, maybe you did it how it should be, Idk.
I really do like all of them, and it was such a fun surprise Thank you man, I appreciate them!

Ehhh it’s not my fault your design for the anemone is somewhat phallic! If I had it m way I’d remove the tentacle ‘tips’ and have it all one colour - purple to contrast the yellow or something. I can’t help if the initial design is perverse hahaha! Thanks for the feedback - I’ve actually been experimenting with blotchy lines, so might try incorporate them into some future pieces! ^_^

Ohhhh that’s very kind of you to say! As a longtime talented digital artist do you have any constructive criticism or tips for how I can improve? ^_^

It’s so difficult to offer critiszm on an artist’s work or technique when we have different styles and methods. For example, i use a mouse to digitally draw over a photo of a hand drawn sketch. How do you draw your art?

You draw with a mouse!? Wowzers that’s impressive. I draw with an apple pen on an iPad (as of two weeks ago, haha)!
