I agree it was badass, but he totally screwed himself over.
That flashback will be EPIC! I hope we don't get jyped though and he just falls into the ocean and dissapears. Cause' Toboso will no doubt have a butt load of pissed fans if the Undertaker never comes back....

But yeah, what I definitely didn't like in the anime was that he was some legendary shinigami and yatta yatta yatta... It's too... Big. I don't know how to explain what I mean. xD But it seems that we might get a different background story from him in the manga! No one seems to have heard of him. It came as a surprise for everyone that he was, indeed, a shinigami, and not even Grell or Ronald recognise him. So either both of them have been on the line of work for less than 50 years (and no one of the older shinigamis talk about the past) or he has been far from famous. I dunno, I prefer such great characters to be a bit smaller in that sense.

Grell did something similar with the Jack T.R. but on a much smaller scale and he got off decent. So I'm thinking that even though Undertaker's doing the same thing but much more extreme, but since he's supposed to famous(maybe), it might cancel out or he'll have to do some kind of service.... :shrugs:

But yes... I'm also somewhat interested to know what the other shinigamis at the... headquarters (aah, I don't knwo what name they use for that place...)will think now and if there will be any actions made by them. I mean... Okay, UT's "retired" or so, but he kind of stole the death scythe and broke the laws of the shinigamis (as far as I know). So even if he'd turn out okay otherwise (= Sebby doesn't beath him to death or something) there might still be something coming... Grell got light punishment for a smaller crime (in the human sense smaller crime) but there's a lot of things to concider here. Even if Grell's actions had an effect on fewer people, he was an shinigami at the time, one that is in worklife, and for a working shinigami it is illegal to intefer with human lives like that. UT's action touch many more, but he's not in the worklife anymore. But he also did experiments that aren't necessarily all that leagal no matter what (=used his powers to make the dead move around)... Well, lets wait and see what shall happen, hmm..?
