It's true in every way, shape and form. If you can't look past that blemished face to the beauty in their soul... is that true love? If you can't see their every scar and the reason it's there?(personally, I hate one-sided love like that... the person you love looks into your eyes, but only your eyes and not past them. They look at you blindly and don't see how much you would give for them.)

One-sided love is not love at all, but just a great like for their appearance and maybe the way they are seen by everyone else. True love is what the person is inside, to see inside them and feel their pain when they hurt, want to live to see another day at the glance of their smile and to laugh at their laughter.

awww my boyfriend and I say that all the time. We each point out what we don't like about ourselves, then we still love each other and don't see the imperfections becuase they don't show the REAL beauty that we see.

This world is becoming (or maybe it was always) more and more image concerned. What happened to truly looking into one's soul?
I was talking to a friend the other day, and she made a comment that I only found guys with make up on attractive (for I'm into Japanese Rock, and make up on guys is common in that genre) and it really hit a soft nerve. They are attractive looking, but I don't love them for that. It's the personality that counts.

I would like him to understand where those scars came from, so he could understand where I came from and why I am the way that I am, and then stop loving me so blindly, because more often than not it feels like it's pity for this poor wretched soul. Oh well.
