Do you find that your freehand portraits tend to resemble yourself at all? I had a friend who would say "nice self portrait" whenever I showed him someone I'd drawn from my head haha. Just curious if that happens to other people.

omg i get that comment all the time, people always thinks i am drawing myself, when its actually just someone from my head, i think it happens because if you tend to draw a person over and over they assume has to be youΒ

Haha must be a subconscious thing. I don't know about you but I have definitely studied my own face a lot, while putting on makeup or brushing my teeth or anytime I'm in front of a mirror really. I am trying to study more diverse photographs to see if that'll make my imagined faces more varied.

I typically like things to be smooth and blended, but the way you used your brush gave the color lay-down so much texture! I really like it. It's almost abstract in a way, and tells a story all it's own. ^^
