Description
In a way, I find this piece of art I did a few years back to still hold true in what it represents. Life is difficult. That's just how it is. Every single one of us fight individual battles every day. The pose of the character, accidental as it was when I was sketching, resonates with me. that feeling of being exhausted, beaten, bleeding, that the world is burning around you and the smoke is so thick that breathing feels impossible is a feeling every human being experiences. however, hope is also something we can all experience, as is peace and joy. sometimes we have to crawl through the smoke and the flames until we reach the open air on the other side.

Fire is a natural part of Earth's balance, believe it or not. many forests, in fact, depend on it. The flames clear away the cramped and dry brush, sometimes even old trees, and leaves room for newer and healthier vegetation to grow. The losses it can cause are worth sorrowing, but the ash will soon turn into new, green, and beautiful growth.
