I agree that I think the trees look fantastic! If you're not happy with the way they look maybe try different shapes and styles? A lot of trees have very twisting trunks, and knobly kind of stumps coming off, also adding a hint of bark texture may help.

Very nice. I have barely any art experience, but using a smaller brush may improve texture, but you can do whatever you want really. The middle ground foreground and background is really defined.
