Personality : just like her big sister Kumo is a very observant person. She’s also kind hearted but is a bit odd at times. She’s a eerily calm at ties and it takes a lot to make her upset

History:
As a child Kumo was a quiet person. Often tagging behind her older sister, she would follow her around even after her parents sold them off to the Okiya. But all that changed. when her sister got sold off for the building burning she was devastated. The only person who really was supportive of her was gone from her life. A few days after her sister was sold off she went to confront the woman that ran the Okiya. She climbed up the steps to the second floor of the new house that had just been bought and tried to plead her sisters case “ but she didn’t burn the house down she would never do that!” “ ha…but she’s a fire type right look at her she’s just ready to kill she already hates us you just be thankful that your too young to be sold off like her…cause I cant make money off of you so shut up and deal with it.” “ SHE WOULD NEVER DO ANY THING LIKE THAT WHY WONT YOU LISTEN?” she jumped on the lady of the house and grabbed her by the cuff of her outfit. Her eyes glowing with anger as she held the woman” I WANT Y SISTER BACK” the next think she knew she was on her side in the middle of the dirt road just outside the house . Her whole body aching .coughing up a bit of blood she asked “ what …w….what happened?” she looked around to see the woman that she just jumped on holding a large piece of bamboo” just for that you’ll never be a geisha have fun being a house maid “ she said as she grabbed Kumo by the by the back of her kimono and dragged her into the house.

A few weeks passed and Kumo was stripped of her learning duties . She was now a maid of the house cleaning and cooking when told to. Slowly but surly her anger began to rise. Finally one day she decided to run away and go find her older sister. She spent a few days thinking the plan out. Thinking carefully she decided that putting sticky silk on the door of the woman of the house was the best way to stall her. And soon enough she would get that chance. “ Bring that spider girl in here” the woman told one of the maids one late afternoon. After being summoned Kumo swayed over to the room and leaned through the door “ yes can I help you?” she would say in a sarcastic tone“ watch it girl….anyway I just wanted to say that starting tomorrow you’ll be sleeping with the rest of the maids in the bottom floor we found some one who actually has some talent to be a geisha” Kumo looked at the woman and a creepy smile filled her face” fine then” she said before quickly exiting the room her hands making a sticky silk quickly . As she closed the door she sealed it shut with her silk and scampered off.” YOU HEY….HEY OPEN THIS DOOR “ the woman would yell but it was no use by the time she was able to pry the door open with help of the other maids, Kumo was gone. She had crawled out a window and was now running along the roof tops heading for woods. She quietly and easily slipped in amongst the darkness. “ good……good now I can look for nee-san tomorrow” she thought to her self as she climbed into a large tree and made a little bed of silk. She didn’t sleep though . She thought that the dark forests were a good place to hide but the strange sounds that seemed to always happen at night kept her up. She was afraid that what ever made the noises would come after her. As the months passed she went looking for her older sister but she never found her. Every night returning to the woods for fear the she would get caught and taken back to that horrible woman. The sounds didn’t disturbed her as much now but she was still afraid. One day upon returning she found an ursaring rummaging around her make shift camp.

The animal at once sensed her and reared up on its hind legs ready to bear down on her with its claws. She shot a bit of electrified silk into its face and then began to run as fast as she could. She could hear the animal running behind her. Its sound growing closer and closer. The fear of being eaten making her not look back . Her running led her to a cave and in the back she could see a glowing blue light.” A hole?” she thought as she booked for the end of the cave but once she got there she realized that it wasn’t the end of a cave but a woman chanting some words. Her hands was what was glowing not the open sky that she thought was at the end of this cave. “…….your…..in trouble?” she stood up and placed her hand forward in a stopping motion and the Ursaring immediately stopped and roared at her. Its defining tone hurting Kumo’s ears as she stood behind the woman cowering in fear” WERE GONNA DIE ILL NEVER FIND MY SISTER!” she blurted out as she crouched down in a defensive position. The woman glanced back at Kumo for a second then said some words to the bear and at once it turned away and ran out the cave. As Kumo looked up she could see the woman’s whole body glowing with a peculiar light. “ are you…..hurt?” she looked at the woman and then at her surroundings “ no…im ok “ she stood up and dusted her self off “ ….thank you for saving my life” “ ah…not a problem little one…here ill take you back home” Kumo’s eyes lowered at her words” I don’t have a home”. the woman turned her head to the side then sat down on a rock” no home……an orphan?” “ well I guess you could call me that” crossing her arms the woman hung her head and sighed” ah I see………….well I guess I can take care of you …I wouldn’t want you to get……eaten…” the woman stood up and extended her hand to the girl

” my names is Sora” Kumo took her hand and gave a faint smile” my names Kumo” as the two exited the cave Kumo could see that the woman had white hair just like she did. The woman looked at the girl and then at the horn that protruded from her forehead” are you…an Spinarak?” Sora would ask as she looked at the girl then giving her horn a poke right at the tip. She pulled her finger back seeing a bead of blood form “ oh….how interesting” Kumo nodded “ and you?” the woman smiled at her” Im a Togakiss Kumo ‘s eyes got big and she smiled “cool” she said as she followed the woman” 2 years passed and the woman had taken a liking to Kumo she even had her work In her berry shop. Kumo thought Sora’s little shop was actually quite cute and adorable. One night as the two were heading home Sora changed her direction and began heading into the woods” “ Sora-san where are we going?” asked the girl as she looked around at the darkening scenery. The woman only replied “ to a meeting now hurry along now we cant be late” Kumo listened and followed the woman. Soon enough they got to a clearing in the woods where a few women were gathered. All of them were holding a crystal ball of some sort. Kumo looked at each and every one some looked scary others looked kind and friendly. One approached the child and her adult companion and looked her over”…….Sora this child….. why did you bring her?” at this the Togakiss replied” oh she wont tell what goes on here….actually I think she has potential…look at her eyes she’s basically made for this kind of thing” she said as she sat in amongst the ring of women. Kumo sat next to her and watched what went on. As the night went on and the women began to chant she realized what they were and why the woman was glowing that one time when they first met. they were all witches and this was there meeting place. A mixture of fear and interest filled Kumo’s little mind as she looked at each and every singe one of them. Something was drawing her to be a part of them but she didn’t know what. Some time in the early morning once the women had stopped chanting and talking amongst them selves about matters that Kumo didn’t understand.

They all stood up and bowed to each other and separated. Kumo looked at Sora as they made there way back home “ you’re a witch Sora-san?” “ yes sweetie I am……..you afraid?” she asked. Her dull eyes looking down at the girl” no not really…….when I was a kid I used to think witches were all bad but you all don’t seem that way.” At this Sora laughed “ ha no no dear not all of us are bad but some of us are….im surprised that your not afraid of me after finding out my secret” Kumo shook her head and then smiled” say…can I come the next time you have a meeting?” the Togakiss nodded at her Spinarak friend as they finally arrived home . As time progressed Kumo sank deeper and deeper into this secret meeting of women. Eventually Sora began to teach her the ways that she had learned when she was a child her self. Kumo learned fast and soon enough she was initiated into this secret circle of women. On a warm summer night she went with Sora to the meeting and sat down with the rest of the people that were there and smiled. She wasn’t expecting to be given any thing but this particular night she was. The eldest witch seeing that t Kumo was now an adult and was an respectable person handed the now grown Ariados woman a rather large box. The top of it was painted with a black lacquer and a golden spider web patterns decorated the box. When Kumo opened the box she saw a large purplish pink orb sitting amongst red silk. Lifting it up she examined it and marveled at its clear luster. In the moon light she could feel its energy flowing into her fingertips and she smiled”….y own crystal ball” she mumbled as the rest of the women giggled at Kumo’s reaction. “ this is yours my dear. A sign that your wise and good enough to be one of us….use your new found powers well and do not be reckless with your new abilities” said the eldest woman as she sat back down with a smile. Not long after that Kumo began to search harder for her sister. She had never stopped looking for her and with her new found abilities she would do her best to try and find her. Asking around she began to hear rumors off all sorts. Some said they saw her once or twice with man. Others said she was dead. And some even said that she was still in the red light district. Kumo searched and searched but no luck . Finally she decided to give up. Figuring that her older sister was never going to be found she headed off. Into the dark village known as Noir Vale.

Now 20 years old. Kumo wandered into the dark swampy woods of the region. A few days earlier she had taken a large chunk of rose quartz from Swoobat male. Little did she know that it would be him and his reptilian friend who lead her to her older sister. A week after taking the gem from the man, she was wandering around looking for flowers to make into a potion when the man showed up along with his busty friend .” Who are you “ she asked as she looked at the two of them she didn’t recognize Kiri from his new clothing .” im the guy who’s rock you stole…the clear pink one remember……and this is my friend Tsubaki we’ve come to take it back “ he said cracking his knuckles” the spider woman looked at Tsubaki then at Kiri and brought her arms up in a fighting pose” well your name wasn’t on it so it wasn’t yours” “…why YOU” the bat was about to lunge forward when his female friend stopped him” Kiri-kun………doesn’t she look like Hanabi?…..um ano…do you have a sister? “ at this Kumo’s eyes widened” Hanabi………….is ……is this Hanabi person the same skin color as me?” Tsubaki nodded and then giggled “ so your Hono’s sister she talks about you a lot “ Kumo walked up to the snake and took her hands” you know her? ..is she ok?…do you know where she lives?” while she was asking for her older sister Kiri was rummaging through her things and he found his hunk of Rose quartz” yeah we know Hono..shes a good friend………..well trade you we’ll take you to her and in exchange ill be taking this back …we’ll not like you have a choice anyway but since your Hono’s sister ill cut you some slack” Kumo frowned at the bats words and then scoffed” fine but only because your cute” Tsubaki giggled at the woman” yep your Hanabi-chan’s sister. The two of them escorted Kumo to Gale springs where they brought her to her sisters house. After knocking on the door Kumo stood there as Hanabi opened it and then froze. Squeals of happiness and joy filled the cold air as the two of the reunited after years of being apart.

They all sat down and Hanabi explained to her younger sister that it was Kiri and Tsubaki that had taken her in after Kiri had taken her out of the brothel. The spider woman bowed to the both of them and thanked them for bringing her to her sister. At this Tsubaki replied” no problem…you two look really alike you should come hang out some time with us we have a lot of fun together “ at this the bat would remark” just as long as you don’t steal my gems” . the 4 of the would laugh. And Kumo apologized for stealing the mans gemstone. After giving the two of the a hug she stayed with her sister for a few days just to catch up . After that she followed her older sister to Tsubaki’s shop where she thanked the woman again for bringing her to her sister “ I appreciate you bringing me to Hanabi-neesama.” The snake hugged the woman and swung her around “ not a problem Kumo-chan~”
