Description Pretty self-explanatory: Soviet-allied communists manage to take over Finland and the Baltic states in the aftermath of the Russian Civil War, followed by a narrow victory against Poland. As a result the interwar era looks drastically different than we know it.

The London-Rome Axis and the Continental Entente oppose each other, nobody likes the Soviets, and America doesn't want anything to do with European stuff again. Britain has shifted towards a fascist-y system, while still maintaining a few select trappings of democracy, while Italy is pretty much their OTL self only more competent. The Entente nations meanwhile are typical democracies, and while Germany in particular has some problems with right-wing militias run by disgruntled veterans they are all rather stable. In the Western Hemisphere, the Panama Accords just want to ensure that large-scale war won't come into their part of the planet.

If you have any questions or comments, ask away ^^

EDIT: Fixed a small mistake I noticed.

how democratic are the British dominions and how loyal are they to London

I'd imagine Australia and South Africa to be the most loyal, followed by Canada and New Zealand. All four are still democratic, however Australia is the closest to turning to fascism itself (and therer are notable fascist political elements in South Africa and Canada).

Also of course with South Africa it depends on who you're talking to. A lot of Boers aren't very fond of Britain, but the dominant English population is probably the most loyal to London among all of the dominion populations.

Is it accurate to say China leans towards the Entente while Japan leans towards the Axis?

China has decent ties with the Axis but Japan doesn't have any particularly strong ties with any nation.

You say German Empire, so the monarchy was not abolished in this timeline? therefore no weak Weimar Republic?

Again: what people call the Weimar Republic officially called itself "German Empire" despite being, you know, a republic. It's confusing.

Ah right I see, I assuming in general though that the Weimar Republic "German Empire" in this timeline is significantly stronger than OTL?

Since it kept Upper Silesia and doesn't have France breathing down their neck, it is. If it weren't for France's colonial empire, they'd be equal in terms of influence within the Continental Entente.

When did the Germans restore the Kaiser?

FederalRepublic In reply to Whiteshore1 [2016-11-13 00:35:35 +0000 UTC]

They didn't. What most people call the Weimar Republic (even in German) still officially styled itself as the German Empire/Deutsches Reich despite having lost all colonies and the Kaiser (Kaiserreich was never an official description for Germany).

Is the BUF in power or something like today where the Tories adopted much of the BUF policies and Mosley is somewhat of a popular celebrity?

After the Franco-German reconciliation in the early 1920s the pro-fascist elements of the Tories (and people like Mosley) became dominant and managed to first bring London closer to Rome and then slowly transformed the UK to their liking.
