Quirk: Lightspeed

Lightspeed allows Taika to run at incredibly fast speeds. While the start up is slow, it only takes a few seconds for Taika to reach speeds faster than most modern vehicles. His Quirk also causes his body to generate electricity the faster he runs, which he can use offensively even after he has stopped running. The electricity that he builds up only lasts for a few seconds after he stops running, meaning he would have to start running again in order to build up more.

Bio:

Taika was born to a Japanese father and Brazilian mother, both of whom were relatively well off. His father in particular was a distinguished Hero at the time, and he had high expectations that both Taika and his older brother, Raiken, would follow suit. While both boys showed potential early on, Taika appeared to have a considerably more stable Quirk than his brother, and was thus given most of the attention. Since Raiken was only really interested in absorbing electricity, he did not seem to mind this one-sided affection, and he remained on relatively good terms with his younger brother.

When he was 8, he met a girl by the name Naoto Hasegawa, and the two became fast friends, as Naoto had few friends growing up due to her overly strict mother. Taika ended up being a very positive influence in her life, as his happy-go-lucky attitude and free-spirited nature gave her a much happier counterbalance to the sad life she had lived so far. The two were nigh-inseparable, and with the addition of a mysterious girl by the name of Jushiyo Mishima, and a young German boy by the name of Manfred Kaiser, whos father was staying in Japan for a Business opportunity, the group of kids grew very close over the 3 years they spent together, as they talked about their dreams, like being Pro Heroes and helping people or being Pro Soccer players and making people smile through their play. But all good things must come to an end, as Jushiyo moved to Hokkaido, Kaiser and his father moved back to Germany and Taika...

At the age of 11, Taika and his mother took a trip to her home of Brazil, in which he met some of his extended family and got to play soccer with his cousins, some of which were with top Clubs. He was even able to meet Brazil's Number 1 Hero: Jetstream, who would become Taika's biggest inspiration for being a Hero from that point onward. They decided to extend the trip by two years, as Taika's talent for soccer had impressed Jetstream, who was a professional soccer player before he was a Hero, and he agreed to help hone Taika's soccer skills, and teach him the capoeira that he used in his Hero work. He's eventually meet Kaiser again on the soccer field, the two becoming rivals during the Junior Youth tournaments they both participated in. Eventually, at the age of 13, Taika and his team managed to beat Kaiser and his in an intense match, afterwards in an interview, Taika said that he was going to focus on becoming a Pro-Hero in Japan, which devastated his German rival.

Upon returning to Japan, Taika and his mother learned that Raiken had been taken to a special rehabilitation facility due to having such difficulty controlling his Quirk. Taika believed this, and would try to write to his brother as much as he could, not realizing that the truth of the matter was much darker. Thanks to a recommendation from Jetstream, Taika was invited to U.A. as part of the new "Star Crown Project" headed by America's number 2 Hero, Sky High. There, he'll reunite with his other two childhood friends, and they'll work together to be the Pro's they dreamed about as kids....

Trivia:

- He is the younger brother of one of my brothers/co-writers ( ) villain OC's, Raiken Araki aka Haywire

- Taika, and large chunks of his backstory, were very inspired by Captain Tsubasa.
