My friend Deanna and I posing in our outfits. altered patterns, some Simplicity some Burda, and some made-up stuff, like my black shirt there. Deanna's entire outfit was sewn by me, except her hat. For my outfit, the skirt and coin-sash were purchased, the vest converted from modern clothes, and the hat purchased the day of the faire. we have been sewing a LOT! Deanna is helping me to cut out patterns and pattern pieces, but we have been altering the patterns and designs as we see fit. is it period-? well... i don't care so much about that as is it pretty and fun to wear, and the answer is YES!

aww, sewing just takes practice, like anything else! start with simple projects and work up!
