From scratch in SAI; textures are my own. And there was a bit of editing in PS.

His eyes have got to be the best part of him. Although, he is all just brilliant. *envyyy* Squee~

Really? They were a right pain to do - the direction he was looking in kept changing! Jetstorm's visor was much easier...

Thank you

XD Visors are so much easier to draw, I admit

It's an animated tv series, although the first three episodes do go together to make a film. It's really awesome.

I'm glad he looks friendly - usually when I draw Jetfire he has a manic grin!

manic? No. There is nothing manic - how is his character?

He is in some other drawings! He's somewhat chaotic and hyperactive, but also very adorable, in my opinion

Oh, I have to find this drawings....

Sounds like a character i like

Cute, or sweet

Well, [link] turned out a bit manic.

Perhaps you should watch some tfa to find out! He and his twin first turn up in [link]

Don't be - it's all an illusion caused by slapping textures over the top

drwhofreak In reply to FennecWolf [2010-08-28 14:08:35 +0000 UTC]

*is jealous of your texture slapping skills*

I don't even know how to do that

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FennecWolf In reply to drwhofreak [2010-08-28 17:39:52 +0000 UTC]

1. Find a texture (or take a photo of a rock) and copy it
2. Paste it into a new layer above whatever you're doing.
3. Set layer to multiply, overlay, or any other layer setting that works.

Then, if you're like me, spend hours tweaking it obsessively until it looks slightly different

drwhofreak In reply to FennecWolf [2010-08-28 18:13:34 +0000 UTC]

but how do you get it so it's less texture-y where the drawing is?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FennecWolf In reply to drwhofreak [2010-08-28 20:43:21 +0000 UTC]

Reduce the opacity loads; I think I usually use about 30-40%. I also find it helps to use two different ones together - it softens the effect a bit.
