For someone about to burn at the stake, I think this would be described by mental health professionals as "inappropriate affect." But there were no mental asylums in Salem or in England for those suffering in their minds, and no science to treat their mental pain.
Only the stake or the gallows.

It's pretty cool, but they wer hung during the SALEM Witch Trials. Not burned at the stake. Burning at the stake is what happened to Joan of Arc when she was accused of witchcraft.
