Ohhh, such lovely subtle shades in the "torso" of his tail. XD Really like this one, you pulled off the delicate fins nicely. Not crazy about the splashes of blue on his shoulders, but overall a stunning piece. ^^

What can I do to make the blue spots better? cause I dont want him to have a completely human top half

Hmm. Your best bet, I would say, is to give them a little more definition and turn them into scales. That way they look a little more attached to his shoulder fins. A few highlights and some curved shadows would make them look more purposeful rather than accidental. If you wanted, you could even do a smattering of them up his torso, which it already kinda looks like (particularly on the left side). That's just my opinion though, hope you don't mind.

Good to hear. So many people around dA are pretty sensitive about it, even when it's done in a tasteful way. I know I used to be, but it's necessary for improvement. Bleh.
