It reminds me of my sister's troubles in jr high school: her classmates ignored her, acted superior around her just because she's deaf and uses sign language (I myself don't have that problem). I like the picture, it could mean many things. I like it.

I remember a similar situation with a deaf boy in my junior high. People can be so foolish and cruel! I hope your sister has had better experiences since then.

It looks like the zebra on the left is kinda sad, maybe because he wishes he looked like a horse? And it looks like the horse on the right is telling him to keep his head up, and he is beautiful just the way he is. Awwww ....

lol yeah, maybe I was reaching a bit when I decided I said the picture has meaning (at least I intended it that way), but you noticed the details correctly--I wanted the zebra to look a bit downcast and dirty with the colt looking very sleek and brilliant looking.

Thats so cute. REminds me of the movie Racing Stripes, did you see that? The horses made fun of Stripes (the Zebra) because he was different.
