The patches are actually just from the texture I used, but yeah, they can be seen as bruises. He is being tortured after all.....

This picture is awesome. I love the way his back is so arched, he really looks like he's in desperate pain, almost makes it difficult to look at but if Big Boss is shirtless I'm there...
I love the skeleton showing through and his tormented expression is brilliant, poor guy. Love your work!
