Nice work! I have a soft spot for Spock & Sarek father-son art, and another soft spot for Trek art done with traditional media. You've done such a skillful job of blending colors around the shadows and highlights, it almost looks more like paint than pencil. Well done. Did you use Prismacolors? And what was the finished size of the original, if I may ask?

Thank you!
Yes, the pencils are generally used Faber Castell or Staedtler; and the original size of this work is 32 x 47 inches ... The fact that the issue of color combination is sometimes not as easy as it seems. It's about trying to get better colors may be in the background or also superimposed on the front image of the characters. In this case I tried to add elements representing somehow Spock and Sarek on the planet Vulcan for example, and the rest of the details.

Yes, the Vulcan background adds a lot to this piece. I asked about size because (in my experience) it's darn near impossible to do good detail work in colored pencil in small-scale pieces. The pencils are just so waxy that they won't keep a point. But judging from your gallery, you have a lot of experience with colored pencil so you've long since figured out what works, in terms of scale.

Very good comment... What happens is that the work done at large always provide best detail; at least with the technique of colored pencils.

Great work, except it looks like Spock's face is in front of Sarek and the top of his head is behind...
