I like how you angled it. The shadow to the right, Rudy;s shadow and the foot steps point and lead you eye right to him.
The Angle adds a dynamic look even though he's still.
Perhaps Im just stating aspects you already saw or planned out.

lol, its weird I dont know why I do the things I do. I just see them and I know what I think looks right, and I postition myself to him rather than have him move. Ive taken the classes on the psychology behind adds and design but I never conscously use it while shooting...

Art is a very interesting thing for many reasons. Successful images either by planning or happy accidents. Theory, and Instinct. Which ever way a good image is shot or created a good Image is a good Image. How its achieved never really matters.
Its all subjective though
