HOLY CRAP!! HE IS REAL?!Yes, in a sense. A project that ended up creating a lifesize cut-out of the one and only Alex Louis Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist.
This was collaborated by myself, Diane, and our friend Wes.
Armstrong is approximately - 4ft x 8ft. Made out of Foamcore board, acrylics, and prismacolor color pencils. Attached later were little sparkles seen in the anime series. They were made from sparkle felt and floral wire. (they can be seen in the pictures linked below).
It took an estimated 4 days to complete and get him up to Los Angeles to Anime LA (Jan. 4th - 6th).
With the three of us we all had a fair share of helping out with this crazy idea. I also made little work-out outfits to go with Armstrong.
Lets just say he was a huge success at the convention with lots of people gathering to get their picture with the almightly beef cake. Even the voice actor, Vic, who voiced Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist wanted pictures taken with it.

Thanks! It was one of the most random, yet fun projects I've worked on. Armstrong has a few love dents, but is still in good shape. Who knows, he may return for another convention.

I saw that cardboard cut out while I walking down a hallway to some room I can't what it was, (that was my first con! woot!) that thing is awesome! XD I really I had stayed longer but after the voice actor panel was over, I couldn't think of what else to do and my older brother and sister who brought me there didn't feel like staying any longer. T.T But I'm so planning to at AX 2008! Armstrong rocks!

Yay! I'm glad you liked it. At the voice actor panel, poor Armstrong had to sit in the back and wait patiently until it was over. Good thing he isn't real, otherwise he probably would have jumped on staged and flexed.
