Just in the nick of time for Dragon*con XDInfluences include digging thru a brom book before starting the piece, the desire to do something different from my norm, and many malt beverages XD
wanted to play with the idea of a mage type whose trying to open up a portal to another world..

brom and luis royo have that effect on me, I can't look through the artwork books I have with out going crazy with wanting to sketch and stuff.
hmm about the neck and chest comment,
I think they mean it looks as if they are too close together, but to me it looks fine since his arm is raised up and his head is tilted downwards....I could be wrong though

Looks good, except his chest....it consist of two parts because of too long deepening (till his neck). :/

I think the way the pecs attach to the sternum is bugging him. It seems like he's saying that the 'split' that goes from his abs shouldn't go all the way up through his pecs and into the neck. Minor complaint, from my POV.

Nice! I like the "metallic gold" look of the BG and how you use the symbol in the background as kind of a transitional element. Nice work! I do like the rawer feel this one has.

Just Fantastic. I love the dark hues that you use in your work, and how you can't see his eyes - it makes him really mysterious. I don't know why, but all the runes and his tattoos really draw attention. I just want to keep staring at this. Your anatomy is just amazing, too. It puts so much life into the figures you draw.
