Description
The vast majority of the time I observe heliconians nectaring on our Psiguria Vines as they are rich in pollen as well as nectar. Not the case here as we have a Tiger Longwing drinking away on a freshly opened Red Firespike flower. I love Tiger Longwings for their eyes as well, so if you can take a good look at the eye here.Scientific Name: Heliconius ismenius

Indeed they do, because of a enzyme they have that allows them to ingest the pollen it helps them live a much extended life!
