Description
It was surreal visiting the movie set of Hobbiton, a popular location for the LoTR and The Hobbit movies. The whole location had been built into the hills of a sheep farm in New Zealand, but was built clumsily at first for the minor scenes it played in the original LoTR movies. Later, it was rebuilt with more robust materials for The Hobbit, which the owners of the land and later turned into a tourist attraction. Though I'm not a huge fan of doing touristy things while traveling, I had to make the exception for this! © 2012-Current.
