This drawing is based on Kenneth Grahame's story, "The Reluctant Dragon." Actually, let me rephrase that...it's based on Disney's adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's The Reluctant Dragon. I was watching the 1941 film/documentary the other day and started to draw this at the same time. It is one of my favorite cartoons...it's funny because for some reason they portray the reluctant dragon very gay...if you have seen it or if you saw it, you would know exactly what I mean. thank you...i always thought it was a hilarious cartoon, especially for Disney standards...it's very witty, and deals with poetry, and has the "gayest" dragon by far from any animated cartoon haha

I absolutely love this short from Disney. Even though it was made way back in the day doesn't mean its not any good. Too many people think that now a days about older films and such, but I'm very glad you certainly see the value of it.
VERY well rendition of the two. I've always liked the Dragons floppy puppy like ears. It just added more to his expressions I think (though if they added any more expression to the dragon I think he'd burst into flames, lol)
And yes, the dragon is a FLAMER! lol. He's sooo gay.

I like it, it's cute! I remember the cartoon, but I haven't seen it since I was probably three or so. The dragon reminds me or Dr Seuss.
