Description Mike Modano slips one by David LeNeveu in Dallas. Not much to this one, but I thought it was fun enough to post.

Absolutely beautiful.

They could be a Ballet Troupe (much more diffiult & not nearly as froofy as you might think ) Grace, aggression & tremendous disicpline/focus.

This is a really a great capture~don't undersellf

Thanks mate... I have to blame the Mark II for that. I still can't believe how good it looks at high ISO settings.

Mark II was a lens was it? Or camera? I'm not too up with camera equipment these days, as I've only really used a few filters for some medium format shots I did earlier this year.

There's some software which works with digital photos, which is designed to reduce grain. I haven't used it yet though, so I can't say how well it works. I should give it a go soon. You probably already know or have tried such software already though

I was talking about my camera, the Canon EOS-1D Mark II. It is known for its capabilities to produce stunning images at high ISO settings. So much so that I have yet to need any third party noise reduction sfotware, like I did with my original EOS-1D (first version). I tried a few versions of noise reduction software, but I was never happy with the results. I always just preferred to have the noise in the image. Depending on the application, it isn't always a horrible thing... But that's just my opinion.

(Still love that icon)

ahh, I see now. I've been looking into cameras in that range now. I think the Nikon D70 is quite similar, if a remember correctly. I'd love to have a camera like that really. Mine is OK for most shots, despite it being a compact camera. I have a Fuji Finepix F810.

I too think noise can be great some some shots. Too little noise on a shot you'd expect to have a lot of noise is a strange looking thing. Not saying your shot was like that at all, especially considering the camera capabilities. Before too long I think I start considering a digital SLR or something like that.

"Still love that icon" I can say the same thing for your sig Very clever indeed

Awesome shot!!! Do you do alot of cropping? Did Dallas win that game?

Thanks! Yes, all sports shots are cropped to peak action, as is the norm. Hockey is a very "square crop" sport. Dallas won that game 3-2.

Holy crap that goal was sweet. I saw that last night on OLN and just shook my head and laughed. They completely embarrased LeNeveu, poor guy never stood a chance.

I was standing just to the left of some of the OLN cameras. You should have waved to me.
