She's actually a quarterhorse. They say she's "parchment". I don't know if that's considered to be the same as buckskin. I don't know much about horses.

Wonderful! I watch the horses run at Pimlico track in Baltimore sometimes...but we don't have any quarter horse racing.

Shit! Is this a thoroughbred, do you know? I was thinking you took this at Lone Star but I'm not familiar if there are Quarter horse tracks around TX. I haven't seen a buckskin thoroughbred like that basically ever.

She's a Quarter Horse named Katy, owned and trained by my girlfriend's mom. This was taken at Retama Park in San Antonio. They usually have both Thoroughbred and Quarter racing seasons there.

I'm a horseracing fan, and I love photos that capture the horse when it has all four feet off the ground. Interesting that you captured a quarter horse, not a thoroughbred (I can tell by the color of the horse). fab capture.

By breeding, do you mean what kind of horse she is, or do you want to know which horses are in her bloodline? I know she's a parchment Thoroughbred, but I don't know her lineage. I could find out, though, if you'd like. It wouldn't be a problem.

I was wrong. She's a Quarterhorse, not a Thoroughbred, and her father was named Mr. Victory Demon. I don't know who her mother was. She's quite a story, this one. She had her beck leg ripped open by a wild hog last year, and the vets wanted to put her down because the wound was so bad. It was down to the bone. They said she'd never walk on it again. Funny how she's training to race as early as next year, huh?
BTW, her name is Katy.

lol...yeah it is, youve gota have faith in the animal and you know whether its gona make it or not...yeah i thought she looked more quarter horse ish...in the uk we only really have throughbred racing and you hear of arab racing now and again so i knew she didnt look much like a TB...thanks anyway..lol!
