Thank you very much! I know that the terms of the contest meant a rather sad picture. But for me the sound of silence is just like that. Peaceful, calm. When words are not needed.

Oh, thank you so much for such an emotional response.
The artist's art is to some extent a reflection of his inner world. I am very pleased to share such pleasant and regular vibrations of energy with the audience.

I think this has a wonderful feeling of tranquility and serenity.
I feel you have done a great job of combining all the different elements from your resources into a very original and unified composition.
The misty clouds give it a very ethereal and romantic atmosphere. A very creative digital collage.
Good luck in your contest!!!
Thank you so much for submitting Sounds of Silence to the group's gallery!!!!

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, there are several source codes connected into one whole. I wanted to convey the peace of solitude with a loved one in a beautiful place on the top of the mountain. Perhaps the conditions of the competition suggested a darker aspect, but for me the sound of silence is just that. Pacifying.

Your very welcome. My living in a very congested and big city with so much noise all the time a place like this would be bliss.
I know you enter quite a few contests. I'm not real familiar with all that goes into doing photo-manipulations. I noticed several people using the same main character. (like the monk) Do most of those type contests have a subject picked ahead of time that all the contestants have to use in their entry? Do they also like a main theme in which they can do it in a free style of their choosing.

On the contrary, I live in a very small and calm city. No one is on the streets here after 10pm. And I really love silence. And also mountains. They are really beautiful.
I try to participate in all competitions. But sometimes the terms coincide and i have to choose. Suppose now there are about six contests interesting to me. In general, here they put very useful information.
CURRENT PHOTOMANIP CONTESTSMermaids, Deadline October 25
Vikings, Deadline October 27
Book Cover Love Contest, Deadline October 28
A Zombie Halloween Contest, Deadline October 30
Sounds of Silence, Deadline October 31
Challenge from Wesley Souza - Use my stock #4, Deadline October 31
Stock Use Contest #4, Deadline October 31
Halloween Contest, Deadline October 31
CATS, BATS AND OTHER PETS, Deadline October 31
Halloween Candy Rebellion (within the AMA, read the rules at the bottom of the journal), Deadline October 31
Perhaps it will be interesting to you. In short, all contests are different. Sometimes you are invited to do photo manipulation with specific stocks. Sometimes only a general topic is asked. Sometimes this is a wallpaper. It was this contest, in addition to the topic, that interested me in the non-trivial approach to voting. Only members vote. That seems fair to me.

Oh my goodness, Thank you so much for all the information on the different contests. I think now I might be a bit over my head trying to run a contest . The bigger groups have some really nice prizes.
I could not afford to offer prizes like that at this point.
I was thinking of running one with the theme Winter Wonderland but I could could not offer prizes like core memberships and 1000 points or more.
I'm afraid now the small point rewards and graphics I do for my group for the blue ribbons and gold cup will not be enough incentive to keep the members interested in my group when there are these other really fantastic digital groups.

You're welcome. I am happy to share information with you.
In no case do not despair! Any competition is a PR opportunity and ready-made ideas for implementation. It’s also fun. For example

The-Imaginarium Short Challenge
STOCK REQUIRED
PRIZES
- 100 for 1º place, 20 Not so big prizes, but they are more realistic to win, for that matter. In addition, sometimes people offer donations points or resources.
I think most of all you now need like-minded people.

I did not think about the moment of romance, rather, appeasement. But I like your version. Thank you!
