another dolldivine creation
this started out as not a mermaid concept, but the more i played around with the costume, as it's a "mermaid dress" i decided to make Ondina a mermaid
and a star was born~ lol

also if you recognize the name Ondina - there's a show that some might know from back in the day that was on Nickelodeon: H2O Just Add Water
-- well i was trash for that show and watched the spinoff that was on Netflix: Mako Mermaids - and a character on the show is named Ondina (though she and my character look very different!)

so i know there haven't been mermaids in the super mario universe, but i wouldn't be surprised if they showed up eventually as the rest of the world is pretty fantastical

anywho- what i've got on her so far:
she is a mermaid ambassador that requests help from Mario, as a friend of Bowser (villain tbd later) took over her land/where she resides, and needs Mario to help save her kingdom
she teaches Mario how to swim faster and gives him upgrades (he can be a fish, a mermaid, a clam, etc.)
-- at the end for assisting Mario and FLOOD/F.L.U.D. (bringing him/her back! because that was the best and super mario sunshine is so nostalgic for me~), Ondina is "promoted" and allowed to have the title Princess

hope she sounds cool to you - cuz i really like her and really want to work on the transformations that mario goes under!
