Only in the newer Voltron.
In every other version Pidge has always been a boy (though in the original Japanese Pidge was voiced by a woman)

If you want to believe Pidge was a girl in the original I have no real problem with it well except for his/her twin brother maybe Pidge was born as a girl and identifies as a boy to be like her twin brother...it was the 80's so probably not
