A few years ago we were forced to run around the school field, and, a few minutes in, I could hear a guy behind me quietly singing "Always Look On the Bright Side of Life" to himself and then laughing really strangely. It made me run faster.

Ah, thanks bro. It was fun to do, probably looks better cos that's the original pencil I didn't go over it in pen, which I find always loses some of the original spontaneity.

i love working alongside people... you get some real unforgettable moments
i have three i will share with you briefly:
1) i once saw a coworker get so angry that he stood up and beat his chest like an ape. He didn't even realize he was doing it.
2) taking inventory in a meat market, my boss called out "bone in chuck"... and then smiled slyly and said, "at least someone is having fun tonight."
3) trying to explain james brown to a group of young college kids, i said "he is one of the creators of soul music"... to which one of them said, "do you mean, like, korean music?"

Yup, you do. It's also the reason I hate each and every person on the planet, but it does make for some funny stories.

Yeah, that guy in the first example was actually angry at me at the time. It was pretty scary. I really thought he was going to gorilla me to death. I think if a mother figure older woman in the office hadn't been there to stop him, he would have hospitalized me.
I work alone now, but I really cherish my memories of those hateful and exciting days of interacting with all sorts of freaks.

hehe, maybe it's because you're english and you're already spoiled with so much good comedy series and humour all around 
black books is indeed not the best of british comedy, but somehow I really love it. and there's really a ton of good jokes in it.
