THE KESSIANS - REFERENCE SHEET Brief summary of their history: The exact origin of the Kessian species had been unknown for a very long time. According to a few of their old legends, they descend from mighty Thunder Dragons that had once roamed the vast forests of their jungle world. Said legends tell us about the first coming together between an unknown humanoid race which came down from the stars and to the wild, vivid ground to look for life, and the mighty Thunder Dragons; the species kind of simply paired up and thus formed the first Kessians. (Simple Kessian way of thinking.
)Today we know that they are the product of an experiment titled as the "Super Soldier Program", designed by the Collective Powers (an alliance of intelligent aliens who merged for the sake of territorial expansion). To create an army of "Super Soldiers", they mixed human DNA with the DNA of the ancient Thunder Dragons - and this is the truth behind the existence of the Kessians.
Other important facts: The male Kessians grow their horns in time. As infants, juveniles and adolescents, they're often not seen yet but if the adolescent period ends, the horns will start to grow on their foreheads.

(I didn't make them an open species though because I don't want people to claim the species as their own. Since ~Prisma-Fox is your alternative account, I know you've been through this exact problem with a good friend of mine, ~Compeepip . I'm sorry things started out as they did but I'm glad you two managed to resolve the problem without any major drama occurring.

Yea, I know what you mean. It's not exactly a great feeling when all of your hard work is taken by someone else and they take all the credit. It's actually happened to me multiple times sadly. :/ Oh, and it's no big deal. I mean, I was very shocked to see someone had been using my alien design without my permission at first, but I was also kinda glad to see that someone had loved them enough to truly develop them as a three-dimensional species since I sort of neglected them for my other aliens U v U; I'm glad me and Compeepip were able to resolve this issue peacefully since I'm not too fond of arguments and such. I was actually afraid to confront her about this issue at first, but I was glad to discover that she's a nice person and didn't mean any harm. I hope we can become good friends later on.
Haha, I just love his childish personality. His obsession with Blue is really sweet as well.

Yeah, I feel you there. I usually try to stay out of aggressive conflicts and drama as well, however it did happen before that art thievery drove me to reacting rather aggressively, even when it was just a misunderstanding. As a result, if it had been me in your place, it is entirely possible that I'd have started a sh*tstorm, haha... not good! So I'm glad you and Peeps ended up becoming friendly towards each other.
And no problem, credit goes where credit is due. I wouldn't want it any other way. To me, crediting original artists and even stock artists has become very important. Even if I don't remember where I actually got my background stocks from, I usually write something like "The stock image isn't mine but I forgot where I got it from, if anyone recognizes this as their own, please contact me." and stuff. Because I know how it feels to get ripped off.

I've been doing a bunch of rough drafts of my Kessian character haha. Trying to find a look I like best for him!
Happy to know you like my Illumians! I've been trying my best to develop them more as a species and their culture. I actually need to start working on their reference sheet and put down their information for people to see. A lot of drawing, that's for sure!

Ah, I know what you mean. Crediting, no matter what it is, is very important, cause it shows you respect the original creator and their work. Even if they say "no credited is needed" I'm sure it must feel nice to be appreciated anyways.

Yeah, an official reference sheet wouldn't be too bad. Or you just use the Species Meme that I and Peeps also used, like, as a "base" for the actual reference sheet. Because I plan to make a really good one for my Kessians as well, an "official" one that's not a Meme. I just haven't found enough enthusiasm to get to it yet, lol!

I saw. She was the one commenting on my picture of my characters Anatol and Lazuli because Lazuli is half Luminian. Though it came as quite a shock to me since I had not the slightest idea that Peeps referenced the Luminians from an original alien species idea that you had. I honestly thought it was all her idea, all she told me was that her character Fenelle was originally for the Invader Zim fandom or something, which I don't know anything about because I never watched the series.
But yeah, anyway. Your friend told me that you were too good-natured, haha! I usually forgive but I never forget. 
And well, your Illumians ARE beautiful, there's no questioning that in my opinion.
As for crediting, exactly. That's what I usually do too, unless, as I said, I forgot who I took the image from. Then I usually ask for someone to contact me and tell me who they are, so I can credit them properly.
Haha, thanks! Yeah, I usually take on much more than I'm actually willing to do in the end. I'm usually very picky with the people I do gift for or trades with.

I have a question if you don't mind me asking. Do they normally have long hair, are can they cut their hair like super short?
Starting out with the species meme might be good for a starter like me. I was planning on making an official one as well, due to the fact I have ALOT to write down about the Illumians that the meme doesn't ask. Haha, I guess we both lack enthusiasm at the moment. It'll certainly be a lot of work after all. U v U; But yea, don't be afraid to ask! ^^

You can say she was trying to look out for me since I'm pretty spineless lol. But yea, originally I created the Luminians because of the Invader Zim fandom for a contest. I guess through the fandom that might be how me and Compeepip first met.
I'm glad. ^^ They're not as pasty as they use to be, so I'm happy with the fact they have some color in their skin and hair, especially since I do love using pastel colors
If I become fond of someone, I'm more willing to do gifts for or trade with haha.
Yea, I never had the money before to buy a tablet, but since I wanted to make my art look nice in color, I enforced myself to using a mouse. If I had a tablet, I'm sure I'd be able to draw faster, and I would be willing to put a lot more effort in my coloring. (trying to shade with a mouse doesn't exactly work out too well lol)

Well, those who still live in the jungle with their clans usually wear their hair long. They don't cut it all that much. (Except for mohawk hairdos and such, like matured Nua has.) It's more likely to find short-haired Kessians amongst those who left their home world and entered the "civilized" society.
Lol, it's okay, it's not like your friend was in any way aggressive towards me or bashed me or anything. If she had, I'd have reacted very differently myself, haha! I don't wanna get attacked for no reason or a reason I don't even know, lol. But yeah, it's good that you have a friend like her who looks out for you.
LOL, yeah, I feel ya with missing a spot when using pastell or very light colours. It is a pain. And usually, I use a darker background to paint on when I work on pictures like that, so that I can see where I missed areas that need coloration, lol!

Ah, thank goodness then. I was worried. She's been my friend since elementary, so she and my other friend kinda do a lot of looking out for me, even though I insist I don't need it haha.
I normally like to use an obnoxious color and such, and then lock it and color it the pale color I want. Though the dark background has been working probably better than my usual method.
I think it's good to be picky. It means you know what you want. Like me, everyone calls me a plain jane when it comes to food. I just really don't like any of the extra stuff pffff.
Someday, I shall have a working tablet and learn to draw with it! But for now, my mouse is my best friend lol U v U
