Hey there, sorry I took so long to get back to you. I've been keeping watch on the fires and my neighbor's dog while she's away. Fire's out, though the dog could stand to learn this novel concept called sleeping at night instead of barking at the moon. But, enough of that. This background looks much better. It has a surreal look to it, possibly underscoring that either this moment doesn't seem real to Rolf, or that he's no longer sure who he really is. The way the walls are vaguely visible, but less eye-grabbing than the characters, is a nice touch on that score. I also like how the bloodstains on Rolf are more vivid looking. I am wondering, however, shouldn't there be more blood on Shinon? It might be my less-than-impressive eyesight, but there seems to be only a little blood. Do you think an arrow would cause enough bleeding for it to pool beneath Shinon? I'm not sure, though it might spice up the pic. Also, did you consider adding in some of the surface of Tor Garen's wall? The stones of the wall and lines of mortar being partly visible in the snow? Also, what about the scattered footprints? I think I can see Mist's, but none that look to have happened while Rolf and Shinon were flinging arrows at each other. Or, are they there, but my crappy eyes aren't seeing them? Haha don't worry about it sounds like it's a bit rough where your at right now Anyways I see what you mean I could add a bit more blood but I don't want to overdo it I can soak some of his clothes a lil and I'll try out the pool of blood and see how it looks. Also I did try the patterns approach but everything seemed to show up too much so I thought it would be better to leave it I can keep trying to find something that works well though. And for the footprints I could probably put a bit more in although I was going for a trampled path through the snow kind of feel, if you think the footprints would look better I'll try to add some more in. Thanks for the tips I won't be as long as last time for the update

Well, as you've likely heard, the fires are out. It was touch and go for a while, since they were close enough to my place that I was packing my bags. Still, it's truly amazing that there was so little loss of life. Anyhow, thanks for taking my feedback under consideration, and I look forward to the next version. Thanks again, and catch you later.
