Description With the completion of these first armor designs, preproduction for my next short film has officially begun. I won't reveal too much of the story here, but more concept art will be posted in the coming months as things gear up.

What I will say is that my next short film will be somewhat of an antithesis to my last film, "Bill & Maggie's Intergalactic Taxi Service." It'll be a sword-and-sorcery fantasy instead of a sci-fi fantasy. It will be more drama-based instead of comedy-based, although comedy will still play a role. It will be built around a conversation rather than action-scenes or lavish set-pieces, but there will still be plenty of establishing shots and beautiful locales where possible. And it will star only 2 characters instead of 6, which was small to begin with, but I'm paring back even further to make the execution of this next film as effortless as possible. We shall see how that goes.

Oh, and most importantly, very much like Bill & Maggie, the lead of my new short film will also be a young woman, around 19-22. I'll be revealing her in the near future in another upload.

As for the armor here, these are concepts for what my heroine's armor could look like. She's supposed to come from a small but prosperous society of warriors who have bred and created a symbiotic relationship with dragons. And so I felt their armor ought to reflect a dragon-like appearance. I have plans to add embossed or inlaid designs and motifs as well, and it was always an idea that the armor should be tinted a particular color, something bold and unusual for armor, but not when you look at my heroine's society as a whole. But for now, I was only worried about the precise choice of shapes, specific pieces, the ratio of metal to leather, and whether or not a lighter leather and scale based armor was more fitting to my character than a fully metallic encasing.

I'd actually like to know what some of you think. Which set of armor, and/or which individual pieces of armor from these examples do you like most? Please place your answers in the comments below. And thanks.
