Description
The young nobles of Haermark, i.e. the sons of those who have at least the title of Landritter, can serve in the cadets of the guard.
However, being admitted into this prestigious military unit is not a given. It is not enough to be the son of nobles, although this is a basic requirement, one must also be able to demonstrate excellent physical skills and an aptitude for leadership and military strategy.

In fact, even though the Guard is deputed to protect the archduke, it often and willingly goes into battle (e.g. Bunt's War, 1065 GA).

Officers of other, less prestigious units are often drawn from the Guard cadets.

The uniform is reminiscent of that of the regular army, with a white jacket and red trousers (instead of the guard's uniform, which is all white). As a hat, instead of the guard's collar or the regulars' shako, they wear a leather helmet similar to that of Zigen's troops.
