Taured is the most powerful state in the Aspas contient.
The main nucleus of the empire is the kingdom of Viridia, centred on the port city of Vionne, which over the centuries, either for matrimonial reasons or military conquest, has added to itself the kingdoms of Matazar, Mahaldoro and Zaba, proclaiming the birth of the Taured Empire.

Taured is the greatest military power in Aspas, but the composite nature of its empire prevents its military capacity from turning into total hegemony.

The states-general of Viridia, the Fueros of Matazar and Mahaldoro and the assembly of Zaba are in constant conflict with the ruler over rights and taxes, not excluding the ethnic tensions that inflame the court. Indeed, although most of the officials are of Viridian descent, the ruling dynasty, the De Viers, had been a Matazar dynasty for a couple of centuries. The domination of the Matazars and Viridians at the expense of the other ethnic components of the empire is a constant source of problems for Vienne and its emperor Galtac III.
