Personality
Edlen has quite a docile, submissive character, always enjoying the company of others although she may not know how to express it correctly. She believes that first impressions count, and tries to fake confidence in order to make a good appearance. She's one to enjoy the little things, like having hot chocolate on the beach and getting up early to see the first light on the water.

History
Edlen grew up in a nature loving family, her parents were adept collectors of bugs and fish and bonded through their years gathering specimens for the local museum. They spent a lot of time fishing, birdwatching and looking for insects with Edlen, teaching her the many things they knew about the small inhabitants of their old town, Greenroot. The closeness she shared with her parents made it very difficult to move away for the first time, and she spent numerous nights on calls with her parents to keep the homesickness at bay. She had moved to a town named Mapleway, which was very beautiful in nature much like her hometown but was filled with very intimidating townsfolk.

Edlen didn't attempt to talk to anyone for a while mostly keeping to herself and spending her days catching bugs and fishing like she did with her parents and discovering her new love for diving in the towns shores and collecting seashells. As she spent a lot of her time out in the waters she was usually hard to find and didn't have many friends for a long time. However after the loneliness began to settle in more and more she made more of an effort to get to know her neighbours. After bumping into him a lot during visits to the shops and in the cafe she became close friends with Verne a Fletchinder who was quite the coffee connoisseur and with whom she spent many evenings with winding down on the cliff by the sea. She slowly befriended others and spending nights with them at the club or house visits made Edlen feel like she'd never been happier. However when the mayor of the town eventually moved away so did of her friends one by one leaving letters saying that they wanted to spread their wings and find somewhere new.

As the time passed and the town grew more and more unfamiliar Edlen herself eventually bit the bullet and made the decision to move away to start a new life and meet new pokemon. Next stop: Springleaf.

Extras
Diving in the ocean and collecting shellfish has become a dedicated hobby of hers and her house has gathered a small collection of them. She loves them to bits but due to this her house and her clothes have caught a bit of a fishy smell which follows her everywhere. She's also a reasonable cook, and loves seafood.
