Speedpaint that didn´t want to leave my head by any other way than drawing it.o__o"Although I have so many other pictures to finish... commissions, to be exactly. Never mind, it was a lot of fun.
2009, three or four hours, photoshop CS3 and wacom intuos drawing tablet.

Well, I just like being different, because most people I've faced have always used Zoroark and well.. you know I prefer not to follow the crowd which is why I'm going for something like umbreon, or even lucario ^^
Now I'm not saying there's anything wrong with using Zoroark but this is just what I think.

Only that Lucario isn´t a dark type and one of the most used pokémon in fifth and sixth gen.
Zoroark is in the UU tier, as far as I know. Same as Umbreon.
But it´s quite likely that your opponents have been prefering Zoroark over, for example, the ever-present Hydreigon or Tyranitar. They had good taste.XD
I´ve started out with an OU team last november and switched out every but one of these pokémon for underused or even lower tier pokémon. It´s more fun playing with your favourite pokémon, even if you can´t win as often.^^

I think even with a different ability I´d love to have it in my party. It is one of the fastest dark types and your opponent doesn´t know until the last second if its a physical or special attacker or even a mixed set. Very few pokémon can pull that off. Lucario being one of them, and I really like it for that reason, too. It´s always good for a surprise.^^
I desperately needed an OU team at the beginning. I never battled online before last fall, and none of my friends were into battling if they even had the latest games. So yeah, my premier was just a few months ago. Without the 'big guns' like Scizor, Gliscor or a powerful Mega-Pokémon I probably wouldn´t have won even one of my first dozen battles. I was terrible at the beginning, but I learned a lot and now I´m confident enough to use my favourite mons instead of the OUs I started with. It´s just a bit difficult to find good 6vs6 matches, without the opponent bringing several banned pokémon, breaking sleep clause or evasion clause. I mean, it´s okay if they do, but if you are expecting them to follow the same rules as yourself it gets them an unfair advantage over your team when they don´t. If that makes any sense.XD

Mmm I like how both of these pokemon can go into getting trainer both or one way. Well I'm still no good a battling to be honest, but I've won a few fights in matches on Random Match up.
But wouldn't it be unfair on yourself if they also used different rules to you?

The great thing about the pokémon games is, after all, that you don´t have to be a professional player to enjoy them. For my playthroughs I often use silly teams with lots of weaknesses and don´t care for strategies besides the type advantage. A friend of mine isn´t into battling at all, but a passionate collector who wants to finish her Dex and get lots of shinys. Either way of playing is just fine. It´s only that if a casual player is battling a professional, the pro will always win (if there aren´t some very unlucky freeze haxes, crits, misses, burns, etc.). So you are pretty much forced to become a professional if you want to battle often and lots of different players. And that´s why there are sites like smogon university, which collect rules based on players experiences and with the goal to keep the matches balanced and as fair as possible. I think these rules make sense. For example, where is the fairness in putting every single pokémon of your opponent to sleep? So they say: 'Hey, only one pokémon in your opponents team should be put asleep by you and you have to wait until this one wakes up again or faints until you can sleep powder/spore/etc. the next one.'
I stick to the smogon rules because I like even and suspenseful matches. Most of the time I battle opponents who know and follow the smogon rules, too. But especially japanese players or players at the battle spot don´t know or care about them. It surprised me the first few times and lead to several losses, but now I know I have to be careful while battling unknown players.^^

Yeah I get what you mean ^^, for me I think I prefer to be a shiny collector more than anything because I just love it way more than battling. Even though I do enjoy a good battle from time to time with some friends and even though I'm waay too lazy to complete the pokedex, I'd still try to get it done bit by bit xD

I completed my Dex today.^^
There are some event-legendaries missing, but still I got the shiny charm. Now I´m hoping for a shiny feebas for the all-shiny-team I´m planning. While I don´t really collect shinys, some really look awesome and I don´t mind the hours it takes to breed one if it´s one of my favourite pokémon.

And yeah, I actually don't mind getting shinies for others since it's good so I get to see the shiny on my dex too. But yeah I plan to get myself a shiny Fennekin after my requests have been done ^^

I didn´t know until a friend told me. I was quite upset when I saw that you can´t get the legendaries over the GTS, because finding someone who would trade them...? Highly unlikely. Now I´m happily breeding for a shiny Feebas. It is said, because of the strange translation of the shiny-charms description, that it doesn´t increase the shiny rate while masuda-breeding. But I found a forum where they bred a batch of overall 50 000 eggs and actually had an increase of 25% compared to the official, non-charm masuda shiny rate. I hope this turns out to be true.X3

Shiny Fennekin is grey and purple, is it? I remember someone telling me. It would go really well with the magician-theme of this pokémon.

I´d just like to help you with your Dex. As a shiny collector getting the charm would be really beneficial... but then, maybe a regular pokémon you don´t have yet might be better. Just list a few you still need and I have a look what I can get you.^^
