When "Melrose Place" aired, I'd hoped that the TV series would do a riff on this scene.

E.g., Amanda (Heather Locklear) and Allison Parker (Courtney Thorne-Smith) would be working late at their advertising agency's office, which is broken into by a corporate spy.  The two attractive rivals are tied back-to-back, and bicker with each other -- rather than working together effectively to free themselves.
