More Sabriel!!! I'm loving all the Garth Nix and this is beautiful. Still not any fancy critique from me, but if I were going to add anything I might mention that the snow, presuming it's snow given the footprints, doesn't appear very deep and given that factor you might want to add a bit of a suggestion of roots to the base of the trees given they are fairly large. Currently the trees meet the ground more like posts, which if there is deep snow makes sense, but if it's a lighter layer you may be inclined to see either about bit more of a root base or a little more piling up of uneven snow against the trunk. So if anything, super minor observation, overall it's lovely both stylistically and atmospherically.

Did not even think of roots.... You're right it's shallow snow but somehow i forgot roots to the trees... I might break my fixing pics after they're "finished" rule to add them in xD Thanks!
Also glad you like the picture. Garth Nix is my go to when I'm not sure what to draw next, i love that there is literally no visual style, even the book covers with character art are all different from each other, which establishes none as the "real" designs, so i can play as much as I want and no one can tell me I'm wrong xD

I literally think I only noticed because I did the exact same thing once and forgot the roots so I'm forever have this mantra of "don't forget the roots" in the back of my head. 
For the record, I'm all for you drawing as much Garth Nix as you want! You are totally right about the cover art on the novels though, I had not actually thought about it before. Glad I could be of assistance.

I have the books that just have the Charter symbols on them, so I hadn't ever seen the other covers until I googled it one time. I never agreed with any of the drawings as I had been making my own for years. I mean I like them but they're not my vision, but that's why I make my own XD
