Description
A pebble fell to the ground below. The sound echoed the halls of the ice palace, reverberating deeper and deeper into the depths. A great beast's mouth gaped wide, teeth barred and steely cold. Anxiously awaiting it's prey, the beast's breath steamed into the cavern casting an eerie glow among the rocks and ice. The sound followed down into the waters, rippling into rings until only the icy stillness remained. The water remained like the saliva of the beast until the pooling subsided onto the other side. Now lay the center of this beast. Among the crystalline stalagmites lay the very heart cold and frozen to the touch. A touch powerful enough to petrify anyone who had surpassed the bitter cold. Here the wall hummed in a binaural beat. The very walls hummed and vibrated the sound, but only those who could withstand the maddening sound could understand it's message. But.... understanding and withstanding it's temping pulse.... how could one do such a thing without going mad? For only true creatures of the coldest realm would withstand and even then, the pulse called. Urging, temping, seeking the souls of the lost and cold hearted. For this was the center of the Ice Realm, the place of solace and peaceful slumber. But, this slumber came with a cost. Precious, precious time. This place devoured it, engulfed it and savored the taste for eons to come. This was the Heart of the Ice Realm.
