Description The Xiik'wel raise a variety of animals, though hardly your typical barnyard menagerie!

Ahkzar, the Tuub'luukian word for Bee-eater, means dancer. This is is in reference to their fluttery, dance-like way of flying when hunting for insects. Xiik'wel hunters typically go out with a pair of the birds and glean meadows of insects. The ahkzar are allowed to keep things like flies or bees, but larger insects such as locusts and beetles are deposited into the hunter's bag.

Nikskilo are gigantic snails raised by Xiik'wel for their shells, meat, eggs, and a variety of other materials. Their slime even makes for a powerful anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agent, which is extremely useful in the wet forests of Bosque Grande.

Si'ha Silkmoths are one of the most important creatures to Xiik'wel, providing silk and food throughout the year but also they see raising the insects as the ultimate way to connect to their most important God, Indulgence. Indulgence's sacred animals are Lepidoptera.
