My favorite piece of my Heart of Gold composite for . Which is sort of funny, because it was a last-minute addition to the piece. When I first drew up the blueprints for it, the piece originally only contained scenes from Prisoners of Love, Control Freaks, and What You Want (which inadvertantly proves how long I was working on this, possibly). When I saw Urban Jungle, I was moved by Danny's pain at seeing his beloved Sam bespelled. Hearing him say "I always thought you ruled, Sam" and seeing his face made me know he meant his promise to return and set things right.Anyway, the point of this long story is that I was so pleased with how this piece of the composite came out, I thought it deserved its own galleryspace for exceeding my expectations.
As things sometimes do.
I wonder if DP exceeded Mr. Butch Hartman's expectations? It certainly has exceeded mine!

That's one of my favorite scenes! I'm glad that Butch Hartman acted in soap operas in the '90s, or DP wouldn't have been quite as awesome! I love romantic drama...

It's Butch Hartman's Danny Phantom episode Urban Jungle. Abridged version: giant plant-monster takes over the city and enslaves everyone to be a food supply for the plants. He brainwashes Danny's best friend Sam to be sort of the caretaker for the plants. Danny realizes he can't fight them yet, so he retreats into the Ghost Zone to regroup. She blocks his path through the Ghost Portal, asking him to stay and rule with her. In a line I thought was great, he tells her he's always thought she ruled, then vows to her that he'll come back and save her, along with everyone else, somehow.

I know I certainly was pleased by Urban Jungle. There was more DxS than I'd expected!
I especially loved the "I always thought you ruled" line - it reflects on the depth of friendship thaey had - and the last scene after he gave her the ice crystal.. what a classic moment. x)
I thought the "I'll come back.. and.. save you.. and everyone else.... I Promise.." line was a little cheesy at first - but you've helped me see deeper into it and appreciate it even more with this - both the art and your comments. So thanks! And I think I shall fave this..

I was pleased by Urban Jungle, too. Wandering around the internet, I found many complaints about it, but they seemed mostly by those who are anti-canon, which is understandable, so I just silently disagree and continue on my way as is my custom
Although, you're right, I won't lie--the fluffy moments did make me smile. *whispers* Hooray, hooray for the DxS!
My best friend and I were discussing the ice crystal, and she brought up a very interesting point--"It looks like he gave her a diamond," she said. "Isn't that funny?" Naturally, I ran with that and said, "It can be argued that it's symbolizing engagement, sort of..." We both cracked up, but I thought it was still a really interesting metaphor.

It's all right, I always love ranting. Especially on my favorite subjects. I'm quite sure I bore everyone on my LJ friends list to death too with all the DP stuff I keep talking about.
It's true, there are few eps I don't like. In fact, the only one I can come up with at the moment is "Splitting Images" - because of the switchover part and the general... I don't know. It just seemed kinda bland compared to the others - even with the whole My Fair Lady accidental getup and Sam's Save the Frogs campaign [now THOSE two parts of the ep, I like. xD]
Why're you whispering "Hooray", anyway? 
And yes, the ice crystal does look like a diamond! Hahah, I was thinking that myself - though the engagement thing never really crossed my mind.

I whisper for two reasons--1) those fanatical ship fans scare me a bit and make the muscle under my eye twitch because they can't respect each other and agree to disagree; 2)if anyone finds out I am a romantic, the other goths will make fun of me.
But you are right--they do know how to keep us happy. Right out loud!
I wasn't a fan of "Life Lessons", but then again, I really really miss the guy who originally voiced Skulker. He was excellent.

oh dear... I can't have been paying attention to Skulker much! I completely forgot to note the voice difference when i watched Life Lessons.. Heheh. xP I didn't mind Life Lessons aside from the irritating wail of the flour baby all the time - but then again, you sympathize with Danny and co.
