Description Another Brick in the Wall Part 2

"We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey teacher leave them kids alone
All in all it's just another brick in the wall
All in all you're just another brick in the wall"

"Hey! You! Yes! You! Stand still laddie!"

"If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat!"

"Wrong! Do it again!"

Here he is, the Teacher and he's got some hapless child.
Part of my Pink Floyd the Wall series.

The teacher, pink, the school/meat grinder, and the lyrics to Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 belong to the members of Pink Floyd. The drawing belongs to me. I wouldn't steal it if I were you. The teacher has been instructed to cram all thieves into that school/meat grinder.

Sooo awesome.

I'm still a bit confused about the children becoming meat, though.

No one really gets the point of the song. "Brick in the wall" means some kind of obstacle in your life. Like collage, Drugs, Alcohol, Criminal activity, The right people, Ect.

You had a couple of teachers like this one, well, hopefully they didn't try to cram you into a meat grinder

We seem to be on the same wave length again. Though I'm not listening to the Wall, O am listening to Animals, Pigs Three Different Ones. Gotta love The Pink Floyd
I'm going through a Pink Floyd drawing kick, I've uploaded three others aside from this one; The Wife, The Pink Floyd flowers, and Pink crouching in front of the wall. And there's more to come. I've sketched out the screaming face from the movie, the Eagle Warplane, and the Mother. I'm also toying with drawing the Judge. I do know I will definitely be drawing the Marching Hammers, my favorite symbol of Floyd.

Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked this one. I'm actually very pleased with how it came out myself.
Thanks for the fav too.

Just so long as those teachers from your high school didn't try to shove you through a meat grinder

OH yes!! And the Ducky certainly can't wait to see more of your AWESOME ALBUM ART!!!!

You're so very Welcome!!!

and suddenly this song comes to mind, since I am also watching Darkwing Duck as well...watching him get his tail feathers kicked by Megavolt

I was spending my time in the doldrums
I was caught in a cauldron of hate
I felt persecuted and paralysed
I thought that everything else would just wait

While you are wasting your time on your enemies
Engulfed in a fever of spite
Beyond your tunnel vision reality fades
Like shadows into the night

To martyr yourself to caution
Is not going to help at all
Because therll be no safety in numbers
When the right one walks out of the door

Can you see your days blighted by darkness?
Is it true you beat your fists on the floor?
Stuck in a world of isolation
While the ivy grows over the door

So I open my door to my enemies
And I ask could we wipe the slate clean
But they tell me to please go fuck myself
You know you just cant win

CLASSIC PINK FLOYD!!

I love that song, from the Division Bell album. Did you know that song was a direct jab at Roger Waters? Gilmour and Waters did not get along at all.

Here are the links to my other drawings posted so far (shameless self promotion ) [link] [link] [link] Hope you enjoy them.

Here's another great, classic Floyd song off of that album.

"Wearing The Inside Out"

From morning to night I stayed out of sight
Didn't recognize I'd become
No more than alive I'd barely survive
In a word...overrun

Won't hear a sound
From my mouth
I've spent too long
On the inside out
My skin is cold
To the human touch
This bleeding heart's
Not beating much

I murmured a vow of silence and now
I don't even hear when I think aloud
Extinguished by light I turn on the night
Wear its darkness with an empty smile

I'm creeping back to life
My nervous system all awry
I'm wearing the inside out

Look at him now
He's paler somehow
But he's coming round
He's starting to choke
It's been so long since he spoke
Well he can have the words right from my mouth

And with these words I can see
Clear through the clouds that covered me
Just give it time then speak my name
Now we can hear ourselves again

I'm holding out
For the day
When all the clouds
Have blown away
I'm with you now
Can speak your name
Now we can hear
Ourselves again

Thank You So very much for the links to your awesome art!!!

No, I didn't know that Waters and Gilmour didn't get along I guess that is what inspired this song as well on that same album

As you look around this room tonight
Settle in your seat and dim the lights
Do you want my blood, do you want my tears
What do you want
What do you want from me
Should I sing until I cant sing any more
Play these strings until my fingers are raw
Youre so hard to please
What do you want from me

Do you think that I know something you dont know
What do you want from me
If I dont promise you the answers would you go
What do you want from me
Should I stand out in the rain
Do you want me to make a daisy chain for you
Im not the one you need
What do you want from me

You can have anything you want
You can drift, you can dream, even walk on water
Anything you want

Oh, most definitely that's what inspired that song, in fact I think the whole album was really a jab at Waters. By the end, Waters and Gilmour hated each other, so did Waters and Rich Wright. In fact, Waters kicked Richard Wright from the band around the time of The Wall. During the tour for the Wall, Wright was a hired musician for Floyd, not an official member of the band and he's was one of the founding members for God's sake and all because of Waters' ego. And Richard Wright had to put up with it at the time because he was almost bankrupt. It's a shame really, when you consider that they all started off way back when as friends. At least Waters and Wright made up before Richard Wright passed away, that would have been aweful if they hadn't.

Here's another great song from that album.

For millions of years mankind lived just like the animals
Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination
We learned to talk

There's a silence surrounding me
I can't seem to think straight
I'll sit in the corner
No one can bother me
I think I should speak now
I can't seem to speak now
My words won't come out right
I feel like I'm drowning
I'm feeling weak now
But I can't show my weakness
I sometimes wonder
Where do we go from here

It doesn't have to be like this
All we need to do is make sure we keep talking

Why won't you talk to me
You never talk to me
What are you thinking
What are you feeling
Why won't you talk to me
You never talk to me
What are you thinking
Where do we go from here

It doesn't have to be like this
All we need to do is make sure we keep talking

Why won't you talk to me
You never talk to me
What are you thinking
What are you feeling
Why won't you talk to me
You never talk to me
What are you thinking
What are you feeling

I feel like I'm drowning
You know I can't breathe now
We're going nowhere
We're going nowhere
