Description
In the depths of a tortured soul,lonely, troubled thoughts linger
joys and sorrows lost
under a blanket of forgotten memories.
Pain dragging her down,
Lost, confused
seas of unfamiliar faces
staring, pity-filled eyes.
The fear
trembling her heart
questioning her existence
words, empty echoes
of a hurtful past.
Succumbing to madness,
That calls her name
The knife
Crying crimson tear drops.
Some scars never fade,
Some wounds never heal
A flame keeps burning
Till the candle is dead.
Her heart beats for the last time,
As she sits in her shadow
dwelling in shallow darkness.

Anyhow, on to more important things:
under a blanket of forgotten memories. is an awesome metaphor. I love it.
One thing i dont get.... her darkness is shallow, yet in the depths of a tortured soul.. lying in the shallow darkness... just seems some conflict.
I like it though! Hope things are going better
