Great work. Do you paint straight into colour or do you personally start black and white and then overlay?

I do both, For this one I was giving the drawing and after placing the local colors I went over it and started to paint opaquely.

First off, I'm relived to see that I wasn't too far off when I talked about the WIP version . The refinements to shading and textures do a marvelous job of giving a bit more realism to her form and her implements; the special ingredient himself has a smoother feel and more-defined muscular structure, where by comparison the WIP looks a little wrinkled and probably stringy. The extra detail on the eyeballs and whatnot make it all more appetizing too. The slightly darker take on the celestial background gives her a bit more prominence.
Thanks for this fun and interesting piece of culinary excitement.
