This is a little too basic for my tastes, considering this is supposed to be Movie Wreck-gar, but I have to say that I am really impressed of how that looks so much like'em. Good job, brah. Good job.

Compared to the movie designs, seems a little blocky is all. It's not a bad design, I actually like it very much. But it's not as elaborate as some of the others.

Did u know, Wreck-Gar WILL be in Transformers Animated (Voiced by... WEIRD AL YANKOVIC!!!) But instead of the motorcycle, he'll turn into a garbage truck.

Oh, so you DO know, but I can't wait to see him. He'll first appear in episode 20. Bet'cha he'll STILL "Talk TV" like his G1 counterpart. "And now the News at noon. Just Don't touch that Dial! We'll be right back after this important car chase!" (I couldn't resist. I made that up.)

You seem to have encapsulated not only the "Real World" design principals of the Dreamworks motion picture, but seemlessly merged this with the aesthetic approach adopted for the impending (and rather controversial) "Transformers: Animated" series.

Well, that "aesthetic approach for TF: Animated" is probably closer to "I suck at making things look real" than it is to "skillful homage"

It wasn't overboard at all. lol. I just thought it was supposed to be something meant to be overstylized. Like the whole thing with over-grungifying everything, which is quite popular. But you actually have a reason!
